Winter Dog Collars from Dublin Dog
I wanted to share with you the gorgeous new Snowflake dog collars from Dublin Dog. I still love the cool skull collar they sent me at Halloween (read about it here: Halloween Dog Collar) but now that the seasons have changed, I'm feeling the urge to change my collar too! Of course, I have to convince Momma to buy it for me. I really like the collar pictured above. It's called Frostbite but they also have 2 other colors too. Mistletoe comes in red and green and is more for the Christmas holiday season. Pink Ice comes is pink and black. Momma might go for that one since her favorite color is pink.
The sizes for these dog collars are Small, Medium and Large and they range in price from $22 to $26, depending on the size. The price is well worth it. My collar has held up very well and still looks like a brand new collar. Best of all, it stays clean and doesn't get that doggy smell some collars get after a while.

P.S. Momma wants me to tell you that we are NOT being compensated in anyway for this post. We just like the collars!

Darth Vader Dog Costume-Come over to the Dark Side

If you are a Star Wars fan, this is a fun costume for your pup! Momma is a total Sci-Fi geek and she's trying to talk one of the dog's into wearing this costume. Joey will probably do it, he's a total sucker for Momma. I told Momma that as a girl dog, it would not be appropriate for me to wear a Darth Vader costume. But I would go for Princess Leia dog costume!
This costume got great reviews and it's reasonably priced at around $15. The Extra Large size is out of stock at the moment but you can still get it in Large, Medium and Small.

Momma loves the Cat in the Hat. She used to read the books as a little girl and she shared them with her kids. So she loooves this costume. It made her laugh. I like it ok I guess, but I'm not so sure about that hat! I can see where this costume would get a lot of attention and be quite a conversation starter.
This costume comes in lots of sizes: Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. It runs around $17.

Taco Dog Costume
Ok, this taco dog costume is just too fun! I only wish it came in larger sizes. It comes in petite (up to 10 pounds) and small (up to 20 pounds).
The good things about this costume is that it fits easily on your dog and dogs don't seem to mind it. It's reasonably priced at $14.99.
The bad things are the hat is reported to be a little flimsy and of course the limited sizes available.
I would love it if they would make this large enough to fit a medium to large sized dog like me!

Halloween Dog Collar-Roxys Fashion Update
Hi there, Roxy here. You may or may not remember me lamenting the fact that my vintage collar broke and Momma bought me a cheap one to replace it until she could afford a nicer one. I have also been showing Halloween dog stuff for the month of September and October.
Well, I had a nice surprise. Dublin Dog sent me the coolest Halloween collar. It has skulls on it and everything. Here's a picture of it:
Although they do have cool collars like this that would be great for Halloween, they have lots of other beautiful styles too.
The picture does not do this collar justice. You have to see one of these bad boys in person. Very high quality and the designs on the collar are actually raised, very 3 dimensional looking.
The Dublin Dog Company ( http://www.dublindog.com/ ) also has leashes, tags and clothes for people too. I like their collars the best. Their dog tags are pretty cool too though.
Here's a (not very good) picture of the collar on me:

Right now, they are having a special on their XS and XL dog collars. Just use the code xtreme at checkout and you will get quite a nice discount.
If any of you do get one of these collars, I'd love to know which one you get and if you take a picture of your dog with the collar on, we would love to put it on our site!
Til next week, The Hottest State psp

Punk Dog Halloween Costume-Roxys Fashion Update

Punk Dog Halloween Costume
This is the costume I want to wear this year! I want to be a punk rocker! Of course Momma says no. She says I would look silly in a hot pink wig. Hey, I love pink! She also says there is too much black and since I'm all black too, it won't show up well. I guess she does have a point there. So maybe I'll keep looking. But boy, if I were white like my brother Joey, I'd be all over this costume!
This costume includes the pants and the shirt, the wig and the collar. It comes in sizes Medium and Large and runs around $40.

So is this dog skeleton costume S-C-A-R-Y? No? Well, if skeletons freak you out, this might be a little scary. I'm betting it might look pretty freaky at night. This costume got good reviews. It's easy to put on and off since it's basically just a t-shirt. Sizes available are small, medium and large. It's priced at $11.99.
I'm thinking this costume would be great on Joey or Buddy but I want something a little more feminine. Next week, I'll show you the costume I want Momma to get for me!

Halloween is On the Way-Buy your Dog Costume Soon
Dog Costume Spotlight: Rag Doll Dog Costumes
Hi there, Roxy your fashion diva here. The big news with me is remember that really old (as old as Momma!) crystal collar I have been wearing? (Read about it here: Roxy's Antique Collar). Well, it finally broke. Guess good things don't last forever. Sigh….
Anyway, Momma bought me a cheap collar at Walmart until she can save enough money to buy me a really nice one that I, as the Fashion Diva Dog deserves. The good news is that the collar she did buy, although cheap is pink and does have rhinestones too.
That was totally off the subject of what I wanted to tell you about this week, but I felt I needed to share my fashion challenges with you all.
Ok, back to dog fashion business. Do you realize that September is here? And that Halloween is just 2 months away?
We have decided to feature a Halloween dog costume every Tuesday until Halloween to let you know what cool costumes are available out there.
And if you want to see more costumes or get a few hints on how to get your dog to wear a costume, visit Momma's new site Halloween Dog Costumes ( http://halloweendogcostumes.org )
Here is this week's costume. Momma says she loves it cos it reminds her of her favorite Raggedy Ann dolls she had (and still has in her room if you want to know the truth) as a kid.
This cute costume comes in Small, Medium, and Large. It includes the wig and dress with easy access velcro closures. The cool thing about this is that matching human costumes are also available in child and adult sizes. So you and your dog can dress alike for Halloween! How cute is that?

Dog Barrettes
Lately i have been wishing I was one of those cute little dogs with long flowing hair. You know, like a Yorkie or a Shih Tzu. They get to wear the prettiest dog barrettes! I have asked Momma to put barrettes in my hair but she says the way I shed, the barrettes would probably fall off of me with the shedding hair!
It doesn't stop me from dreaming about wearing beautiful barrettes. do you want to see my favorites? Momma says they are so beautiful, people would like to wear them too.
This one is called "Sparkling Hearts" but it reminds me of a crown!
This one definitely looks like a crown. It's called "In the Pink".I love sparklies and bling!
This one is my favorite! It's called "Rhinestone Ribbon".
Leave me a comment and tell me which one you like AND would you wear it yourself? (Just curious)

The World of Dog Harnesses-Roxie's Fashion Update
This week Momma and I have been looking at walking harnesses. Some of us doggies here ( I won't mention any names) tend to slip out of our collars when we go for walks. So Momma thought maybe she would get each of us a walking harness. You can click on any of the pictures to learn more about the harness.
I like these because they are soft and comfortable. Of course, I would get pink. I just wish they had patterns!
Now these are more like it! Look at the pretty patterns! I could really go for that floral dog harness!
These are kind of cute too with the colorful trim. Hmmm, I still like the floral one the best. What do you think?
Ok, I was totally confused why someone would want a harness on their nether regions! I asked Momma and she wasn't sure either.
Then we saw this one and finally understood. It's to help old dogs that have a hard time stepping up. This way you can help your old dog friend up with a minimum of pain for him or her. What will they think of next?
So I have decided which one I want. The floral dog harness of course. Now I have to check with the other dogs and see which ones they want.
