Some New Members of our Family

 Meet our new animal friends!

Hi there. Joey here and we decided to do something a little different this week. Instead of the usual question and answer thing we do each week; I want to tell you about some new members of our family!

 Fred and Ethel

A few weeks ago my human brother Ryan talked Momma into getting 2 little fire belly frogs. We named them Fred and Ethel. We all like watching them. They eat crickets. Momma feels bad for the crickets but it's fun to watch the frogs "hunt for their meals".  See their red throats? Their entire underbelly is red. These guys are so colorful, they almost look like those cheap plastic toy frogs you find at the Dollar Store. They are real though. They make soft barking noises. Hey, maybe they think they are one of us doggies!

Shuttle rip

Last Friday night Ryan rode his bike down to the ocean front. While there, a bad storm hit and he got to see a waterspout and he also got to see lightening actually hit the water's surface. Momma was jealous cos she has always wanted to see a tornado or waterspout. Anyway, Momma had to drive down there to pick Ryan up since the storm didn't seem to want to blow over like most summer storms do.

On the way back, Ryan saw a tiny black thing walking in the pouring rain, in the middle of the road. They stopped and rescued this:

Midnight

The kitten is all black except for a tuft of white fur on his chest so Ryan named him Midnight. He looks to be about 5-6 weeks old. Ryan has been wanting another cat since we lost sweet Nikki, our 17 year old Himalayan sister. Momma wasn't sure we would get a long with the little kitty but we like him. We all were curious about him and I'm totally fascinated with him. I have always had a thing for babies, both human and animal babies. So I'm in 7th heaven having a baby around! Soon we will have a human baby here too when my human sister April gives birth in August. For now, I'll keep myself busy watching over Midnight and showing him the ropes in the busy Bloggy Doggies household.

Til next week,

joey-siig

Joey
